Whether you are an emerging leader ready to take the next step or an organization developing its leadership pipeline, the Accelerate Institute™ provides the essential, hands-on skills managers and supervisors need to succeed. Participants learn to motivate and engage others, set purposeful expectations, prioritize and manage time effectively, delegate with confidence, run productive meetings, and leverage their personal brand—all tools they can apply immediately to make a measurable impact.
The Accelerate Institute™ is delivered in four monthly classes in a cohort-style learning environment.
All classes are delivered virtually via Zoom. Each class is broken up into three learning modules with breaks in between. We schedule a 30-minute break in the morning and a 60-minute lunch break. Our day starts at 9:00 AM central time and wraps at 3:30 PM central time.
Customized Learning for Maximum Impact
In the Accelerate Institute™, every cohort experience is tailored to the needs of its participants and their organizations. Before the program begins, each participant and their supervisor complete a confidential pre-program assessment to identify priority skill areas. This ensures the curriculum targets the tools and strategies most relevant to that specific group.
Our program concludes with a post-program assessment to measure each participant’s growth and the progress made in their targeted skill areas.
Participants also receive a physical, cohort-specific resource guide—part workbook, part reference manual—that supports learning during the program and serves as a go-to leadership tool long after the cohort ends.
The Accelerate Institute™ curriculum draws from three core skill families essential for new people leaders: productivity, influence, and communication. While the Venn diagram below illustrates all available modules, the final selection is based entirely on the needs revealed in the pre-assessment process—so no two cohorts are exactly the same.
Coaching
Accelerate participants benefit from group coaching sessions with a home team led by a course instructor. These two-hour collaborative sessions help participants to apply skills learned in the Institute and work through immediate challenges together.
Communities of Practice
One of the most enriching elements of a cohort-style learning environment is the opportunity to engage in peer coaching. These once-a-month 60-minute events allow participants the opportunity to talk about how they are incorporating the material taught in the previous class and troubleshoot in a constructive safe space about the challenges they face. All Institute graduates are invited and encouraged to attend CoPs in perpetuity.
Graduate Groups
After a participant completes their Institute course, they have the opportunity to join an exclusive community of fellow graduates. Our Graduate Groups offer participants the opportunity to forge powerful connections with a tight-knit team of 5-6 fellow graduates as well as a larger cohort of graduate participants, engage in valuable peer coaching at monthly one-hour sessions that foster meaningful discussions and spark growth, and continue leadership development with a group of committed peer advisors who share their leadership language and can comprehend leadership insights and challenges.
