Leadership Labs are designed for first-time supervisors, managers with 1–5 years of experience, and high-potential individual contributors who are stepping into leadership responsibilities. They are also a great fit for Accelerate and Elevate alumni who want to keep building on their development. If someone on your team is navigating the early stages of leadership or ready to sharpen specific skills, this is built for them.
Not at all. Leadership Labs are completely modular, there’s no requirement to attend every quarter. Participants can choose the lab that best fits their current development need and jump in from there. You can also send different team members to different labs throughout the year, making it easy to match the right topic to the right person at the right time.
Everything. Registration covers both 4-hour virtual training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday, plus the 75-minute group coaching session on Friday — 8 total hours of learning and applied coaching support. There are no hidden fees, no add-ons, and no surprises. What you see is what you get.
The Tuesday and Thursday training sessions are where participants build skills through expert instruction, peer discussion, and hands-on practice. The Friday coaching session shifts the focus to application. It is a facilitated conversation where participants bring their real challenges to the table, connect the week’s learning to what’s actually happening on their teams, and leave with specific commitments for what they will do differently. The coaching is what turns good training into lasting change.
Absolutely. Leadership Labs work just as well for a full team cohort as they do for a single participant. Accelerate Institute and Elevate Institute are FOCUS Training’s immersive, multi-month cohort programs — deep, transformational experiences for leaders who are ready for that kind of investment. Leadership Labs are designed to be more targeted and tactical, delivering focused skill-building in a single week. Organizations can use Labs as a smart entry point before enrolling leaders in an Institute, and many Institute graduates use Labs to keep their development momentum going. The two offerings work well together.
Leadership Labs are delivered live and virtually via Zoom. All registered participants will receive a calendar invitation, Zoom login details, and any pre-session materials ahead of the lab start date. If you have any technical questions or accessibility needs, just reach out to our team and we will make sure you are set up for success.
Yes. Registration for each lab closes the Friday before the lab begins. We recommend registering as early as possible to secure your spot and give yourself time to receive and review any pre-session materials ahead of the first session. Seats are limited each quarter, so don’t wait until the last minute. If you are unsure which lab is the right fit, we are happy to help you figure it out.
