Resources - Program Evaluation

Sample Program Evaluation

It’s important to make sure learners enjoy the programs we run but it’s even better to create evaluations after the program that give learners time to think about what they learned.

  • – Use a mix of simple questions and ones that need more thought.
  •
  • – Use simple questions such as how much participants liked the program and how confident they feel about using what they learned in their jobs.
  •
  • – Use open-ended questions to ask participants what they liked most about the program, any suggestions they have for improvement, and how they plan to use what they learned at work.

By thinking carefully about what we want to achieve with our training, we can design evaluations that really measure what’s important. This way, we’re more likely to get useful feedback from participants, which helps us improve our programs in the future.
