The Accelerate Institute™ is designed to equip new and future people leaders with the tactical tools they will use on a daily basis in a leadership role. This includes skill sets like motivating others, setting purposeful expectations, prioritization and time management, delegation, running successful meetings, and leveraging your personal brand.
The Accelerate Institute™ is delivered in four monthly classes in a cohort-style learning environment.
All classes are delivered virtually via Zoom. Each class is broken up into three 90-minute learning modules with breaks in between. We schedule a 30-minute break in the morning and a 90-minute lunch break. Our day starts at 9:00 AM central time and wraps at 3:30 PM central time.
Our Accelerate Institute™ content is customized to the needs of cohort participants, targeting the skill areas that they and their organizations have identified as priorities.
Each participant and their supervisor take a confidential pre-program assessment that allows us to deliver the tools that are most relevant to each individual cohort. We also conclude each cohort with a post-program assessment to measure the growth that our participants have experienced over the course of the program.
All participants receive a physical copy of a written resource that is specific to the content that their cohort will be focusing on. This working document is used as a guide throughout the cohort and remains as a resource upon completion of the program.
The Accelerate Institute™ focuses on three core skill families most needed by new people leaders: productivity, influence, and communication. The Venn diagram below shows all the possible modules that are offered through Accelerate, however, the final content for each cohort is chosen based on the results of the pre-assessments.
Coaching
Accelerate participants benefit from group coaching sessions with a home team led by a course instructor. These two-hour collaborative sessions help participants to apply skills learned in the Institute and work through immediate challenges together.
Communities of Practice
One of the most enriching elements of a cohort-style learning environment is the opportunity to engage in peer coaching. These once-a-month 60-minute events allow participants the opportunity to talk about how they are incorporating the material taught in the previous class and troubleshoot in a constructive safe space about the challenges they face. All Institute graduates are invited and encouraged to attend CoPs in perpetuity.
Graduate Groups
After a participant completes their Institute course, they have the opportunity to join an exclusive community of fellow graduates. Our Graduate Groups offer participants the opportunity to forge powerful connections with a tight-knit team of 5-6 fellow graduates as well as a larger cohort of graduate participants, engage in valuable peer coaching at monthly one-hour sessions that foster meaningful discussions and spark growth, and continue leadership development with a group of committed peer advisors who share their leadership language and can comprehend leadership insights and challenges.
