Workplace conflict can be disruptive and stressful, impacting the relationships and workflow among staff, clients, and leaders. Leaders are often the first line of defense when it comes to guiding their team through conflict resolution. This work requires leaders to understand how to communicate well, manage conflicts with fairness, and support resolution between conflicting parties. In this module, we explore the challenges and common causes of workplace conflict as well as a variety of techniques to support resolution. From deescalation strategies to resolution plans, leaders who can effectively manage conflict are able to reduce disruption and build stronger professional relationships.
